With the last remaining legal hearing for this ordinance set to be heard on November 02, 2007, it appears that enforcement of the San Francisco Healthcare Security Ordinance is on schedule. The Ordinance is applicable to employers with at least 1 employee operating within San Francisco’s City Limits.  More information

3 Health care consumerism and marketplace transparency shows signs of progress – Select hospitals prepare to make basic pricing information available on the web 
One of the biggest obstacles encountered in the adoption rate of consumer driven plans has been the general lack of financial information regarding the true cost of medical procedures. In a changing of the guard, some hospitals are taking the lead in making information more readily available to consumers.  More information
