Are
you prepared to comply with San Francisco’s Health Care Security
Ordinance?
Beginning January 1, 2008 virtually every employer with employees working in San Francisco will have to comply with the city’s new Health Care Security Ordinance. This new law is a “pay or play” initiative that requires employers with 20+ employees to meet minimum healthcare spending requirements. The law not only applies to part-time employees, but also includes employees who work in San Francisco as little as 10 hours per week.
At a minimum, the new ordinance creates new healthcare reporting requirements that will impact every employer. In many cases the law will force employers to either modify their benefit plans or quantify and pay fees to the city of San Francisco. While legal challenges to the ordinance are still in the process of being heard, employers who wait for the outcome of those proceeding may find themselves with limited compliance options.
During this free webinar for clients and friends of ArlenGroup, attendees will learn about:
1.
Key Definitions and Parameters of the Ordinance
2. Overview of Employer Compliance Requirements
3. Penalties for Non-Compliance
4. Practical Solutions for Complying with the Ordinance
|
Who Should Attend:
Finance and Human Resource professionals who manage employee benefit plans for employers with at least one employee working
in the city of San Francisco.
